Exam Structure

Citizens of the World, Youth exams, and their respective cellphone learning are offered only in selected countries at the moment.

Level 1, 2, 3

(for business)

Level 1 Basic
(Exam fee US$150, 50 'World Civility Index' Points)

  • "Keeping up", entry level focusing on basic etiquette skills
  • Examine the 'what', 'how'
  • Photo uploaded to personal account
  • "Open Interview" video (1-min video answering an open-ended question) (via the Rocktell platform)
  • Written exam (50 computer-based, multiple-choice questions)

Level 2 Standard
(Exam fee US$350, 50 'World Civility Index' Points)

  • "Fluency", generally effective command of etiquette skills
  • Examine in-depth and breadth 'what', 'how'
  • Examine the theory, i.e. 'why'
  • "Open Interview" video (1-min video answering an open-ended question) with assessment
  • Written exam (50 computer-based, multiple-choice questions)

Level 3 Advanced
(Exam fee US$2,500, 50 'World Civility Index' Points)

  • "Refined", reinforcing outcomes through real-world interactions
  • Overseas practicum (at our North America test centre in Vancouver, Canada), no written exam

Best Way to Build Company Culture
(Each US$5.00, 1 'World Civility Index' Point)

Continuous learning/continuous assessment. Complements Level 1, 2, 3. Doing what is awkward in seminars but easy in short videos. Using the strategy of:

  • Long term (months, years)
  • Frequent (once every week)
  • Low-intensity (5-min)
